We are recruiting for an Occupational Therapist to work within our multi-disciplinary team. The core purpose of the role is to provide expertise, advice and intervention for a varies occupational therapy caseload. This is an exciting opportunity for you to contribute to the well-being and development of our service users.

*Job Overview:*
The role requires the successful candidates to have experience of working with clients who have Autism and Learning Disabilities in a social care or healthcare setting.
*Responsibilities:*
* Conduct comprehensive assessments using evidence based and patient centred principles to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions which provide our service users with the confidence, skills and coping strategies to support and foster independence.
* Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualised support plans ensuring treatments, activities, and interventions address individual strengths, challenges, and goals and are delivered through effective application and communication
* Responds promptly to referrals undertaking patient assessments to identify and prioritise patient needs before planning and delivering the appropriate and relevant interventions either on an individual or group basis.
* Undertaking various sensory assessments for people with Learning Disabilities and Autism.
* Participate in team meetings to discuss individual progress and adjust interventions as necessary.
* Implement a variety of therapeutic interventions to enhance functional independence and daily living skills.
* Design and facilitate activities to improve sensory integration, motor coordination, and social skills.
* Facilitate community integration activities to enhance social skills and community participation.
* Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to create opportunities for individuals to engage in meaningful activities.
* Maintain effective communication links with service users, relatives, carers in order to incorporate therapy goals into home routines
* Provide training and support to service users, their families, and our support staff.
* Regularly assess and document service users’ progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
* Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic and coordinated care.
* Stay abreast of the latest developments and best practices in occupational therapy.
*Qualifications:*
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy.
* HCPC registration and eligibility to work as an Occupational Therapist in the UK.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Compassionate and client-focused approach.
* Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
* 3+ years previous experience in a supported living or similar setting is advantageous.
* Demonstrable experience of working with Adults with Learning Disabilities and Autism
* Ability to use entry level graphic design software

Pay: £30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
